However, because of the adhesive process, it’s important that the subfloor is properly prepared and level to ensure a smooth finish.
Glue Down LVT Flooring
While "glue down" and "dry back" LVT are often used interchangeably, the key distinction lies in how they're described rather than how they function. Both terms refer to LVT that must be fixed to the subfloor with adhesive. "Dry back" typically refers to the product itself – it has no click system and no pre-applied adhesive. "Glue down" describes the method of installation. In essence, they are the same thing: both involve applying glue to the floor and then placing the LVT tiles or planks over it.
